Baladi beef (locally raised, grain fed, 12+ months) worked with a traditional Egyptian spice blend and shaped into kofta. The baladi base gives the warm, familiar flavour Egyptian kofta is supposed to have.
Baladi beef, locally raised and handled through our professionally managed cold chain, so it reaches you clean, sealed, and ready to cook. Keep frozen; cook from frozen or thaw in the fridge, not at room temperature.
Shaped for the grill or pan; it browns fast over medium high heat and stays juicy from its own fat. Best with a bit of char.
Suited for: grilled kofta, on skewers or in sandwiches. For a leaner, cleaner version, the grass fed oriental kofta; the baladi kofta is the traditional, full flavoured one. A young beef kofta sits in between, milder and tender.
